Yesterday, I had the immense pleasure to photograph a wonderfully intimate wedding. Brad and Dena are some of the kindest clients we’ve ever had, and it was such a joy to shoot their wedding portraits and ceremony. So thank you both!
We had a portrait session with them before the ceremony, so we had the enjoyment of downtown Savannah at our disposal. We headed to a few different locations before ending at Forsyth, where we were able to capture one of the most amazing wedding photographs below:
Okay, so it may not win any awards or anything, but I still think the image is amazingly and hilariously awesome. For the record, both Brad and Dena were in favor of grabbing this father/son motorbike combo to be in the frame with them; that’s one more way this couple was great to work alongside! I’ll continue with some less radical and quite beautiful photos of the couple…
I also happen to absolutely love these two photographs below. There’s something mysterious and lovely in each of them.
Their ceremony and reception was in the heart of Downtown Savannah at the new Avia Hotel, just off the soon-to-be-awesome Ellis Square.

One thing about their families: being from the north, they aren’t quite used to people like me, specifically, those of us who seem to say “y’all” a little too often. Well everytime I asked them all to do something during the family portraits, a few would crack a smile because of my grammar. It made me laugh too. I’ll have to watch my Texan/Southern grammar a little more closely…
